Session II: Revise and Refine

$260.00

January 12 - March 16, 2026

10 Mondays

4:00PST/ 6:00CT/ 7:00EST — 75min
Online workshop

Building on your foundation in Chapter I, this course offers focused refinement of your chanting technique. We'll work together to polish three essential elements of chanting:

  • Balam – mastering aspirated sounds with precision

  • Sāma – cultivating musical flow and rhythm

  • Santāna – honoring proper pauses that give meaning space to breathe

Through structured practice in the lineage of T.K.V. Desikachar, you'll deepen accuracy, confidence, and fluency in your recitation.

What to Expect Each Week

In our live Zoom sessions, we will:

  • Review 4-6 sūtras each week

  • Listen, repeat and receive feedback on your chanting

Practice Support Between Sessions

To support your refinement process, all students have access to a shared class Google folder with class recordings, audio files and supporting documents. (Available for the entire duration of the course plus one additional month)

Students are encouraged to engage in 20 minutes of daily chanting practice—a short, sustainable commitment greatly enhances retention and internalization.

Who This Course Is For

This program is for students who have already studied the chanting of Chapter I and are ready to refine their practice. We focus on precision, traditional recitation, and a contemplative approach to the text.
